Attractions
Florida is best known for its attractions and theme parks. Here is a breakdown of what they have to offer.
Disney
Walt Disney World is made up of four theme parks. Magic Kingdom is a beautiful park with Cinderella’s Castle and classic rides, such as It’s a Small World, Splash Mountain, The Haunted Mansion, Space Mountain, plus many more. The second is Hollywood Studios (previously known as MGM Studios.) It gives its guests the chance to be a part of the movies and offers big thrill seeker rides such as The Rock & Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror. Epcot contains interactive exhibits and rides for kids and adults. In addition to the more traditional theme park features, Epcot’s World Showcase gives guests the opportunity to travel around the world and learn about the culture of eleven diverse countries. Most recently, Animal Kingdom opened its doors for visitors to experience wildlife in ways they never have before. This park highlights flora and fauna from Asia and Africa through immersive attractions like Kilimanjaro Safaris, Expedition Everest, and It’s Tough to be a Bug.
Universal Studios
Universal Studios Orlando was the first park opened by Universal in Central Florida. Once you pass the iconic rotating globe at the entrance of the park you feel like you’re on a working movie studio lot and you are invited into your favorite film and TV franchises. There are many immersive rides and shows to enjoy such as Shrek 4D, The Simpsons Ride, and Harry Potter’s Diagon Ally. Diagon Ally is the newest edition to Universal Studios Orlando and gives guests a unique opportunity to enter the world of magic and start on their road to becoming a wizard. Islands of Adventure is the second park at Universal and is an adrenalin junkie’s playground. With award winning roller-coasters, like The Incredible Hulk and Dragon Challenge, to the truly one of a kind ride, The Adventures of Spiderman, this park delivers thrills at every turn. IOA also has some exceptionally themed lands. Jurassic Park allows visitors to come face to face with dinosaurs, Seuss Landing gives kids a chance to meet their favorite Dr. Seuss characters, and Harry Potter’s Hogsmead gives Potterheads another opportunity to help Harry Potter save the wizarding world.
Sea World
Sea World is unique to itself. You come face to face with wildlife you might never get to see while learning about them. Its interactive exhibits and aquariums gives visitors the opportunity feed sea creatures and rides, like Manta and Journey to Atlantis, provides thrills and excitement. Sea World also offers excursions to go behind the scenes and see the rescue and rehabilitation the company does for its animals and see how things run back stage at many of their amazing shows such as Clyde & Seamore’s Sea Lion High, Blue Horizon stunt show, and (most noticeably) Shamu’s One Ocean.
Busch Gardens
Bush Gardens is a welcoming switch from your typical theme park. It is a hybrid between a zoo and thrill seeker park. It offers some of the biggest and most unique rollercoasters in Florida. Some of their most well-known coasters include Montu, an Egyptian themed, inverted roller coaster, and Sheikra, where riders are suspended and stopped just before plunging 200ft at 90 degrees. Once you’re done with the rides, you can unwind and walk around the animal exhibits, which provides park guests a chance to see the habitats of silver back gorillas, elephants, giraffes, and many more.
Legoland
Legoland is a child’s playground and ideal for kids 12 and under. Once you enter through the front gates your child’s imagination can run free and the possibilities of what can be achieved with Legos are limitless. The park also offers rollercoasters, shows, and other children-friendly rides and attractions.
Water Parks
Florida’s water parks are a breath of fresh air where you can go to relax and cool off. Here is a review of what there is to offer.
Disney

From the iconic volcano overlooking the giant wave pool to the snorkeling pool with a sunken submarine, this water park has something for everyone. It also has many attractions for kids, like their child’s pool with smaller slides and a baby wave pool. Typhoon Lagoon’s Lazy River, is a family favorite, which everyone can enjoy.
Blizzard Beach
Blizzard Beach, Florida’s most unique water park, makes you forget that you’re in the heat and designed to look like you are in a surprisingly enjoyable chilly climate. It is created to look like a ski lodge, so you feel like you’re in a winter wonderland in sunny Central Florida. The striking image of this park is the giant ski jump that towers over those below, which actually doubles as the free fall water slide, Summit Plummet: the 6th tallest of its kind in the world.
Sea World
Aquatica
Aquatica is Sea World’s family friendly water park. With bright colors and fun water rides, this park is lighthearted, fun, and interactive for the whole family. Once inside this all-inclusive park, you are transported to a tropical oasis surrounded by nature and animals. Your reservations include use of a cabana for the day and meals. You can swim in the pool or go snorkeling and dive into the Tropical Fish Pool. It is here you can come face to face with different species of fish and even sharks!
